This was my Friday outfit. It is casual day at our office, so that means jeans. Jeans are a little uncomfortable for sitting at a desk all day…so jean skirt with LYCRA!
The night before I went out dancing with my girlfriends, which is always a fun time. I love, love, love to dance. I just get lost in the rhythm and beat on the dance floor. However…I don’t want random strange men to come up to me to try to dance with me. I should say, what goes for dancing these days. It is more like having sex with your clothes on. I’m not looking for that…nope! Just leave me in my own little space and I will dance my heart out until I’m good and sweaty. I had a total buzz kill with a guy that kept coming over to dance with me. I danced with him once to be polite (no touching, thank you), and it was obvious I was just being polite. He kept on coming over, so I just went and sat down. I had to leave earlyish anyways. Bed and work was calling me from afar…
I wish I had taken a picture of my hair and outfit, though. I french braided my hair down each side and then put them into side pigtails. My growing out bangs were parted in the middle and left out. I got a few compliments on my hair from friends and strangers, so it must have been winning! I just wore a black flippy skirt and sleeveless black fitted top with silver jewelry. My skirt was a little too flippy. When I left the bar I had a Marilyn Monroe moment from The Seven Year Itch. There was a big industrial fan by the door blowing up (you know where this is going, right??).
Yep, it got me!
Luckily I was wearing my black Spanx undies, so whoever saw didn’t get to see too much. I know people saw, too. I heard one girl say to her companion, “You totally missed it!”, after I grabbed my skirt and settled it down. Oh well…they didn’t get much more of a show than if I had worn a bathing suit!

I love to go out dancing, too. About six weeks ago, I went with my sister, for the first time in years. We had so much fun we promised not to wait so long. It is the most fun to just dance in a large group of people that aren’t really dancing with anyone in particular.
The denim skirt looks very chic with the elegant pendant and sandals. I love your pedicure.
