Over the holidays when I had time on my hands I went through my wardrobe. Nearly every morning when I had gotten ready for work, I would have my clothes laid out from the night before. Then I would change. Then change again. Then probably…yet again. It is hard enough getting the kids ready and out the door without having to change 12 times to find clothes that fit and are flattering.
My wardrobe is a mix of clothes are a little too big, clothes that are a little too small, some that actually fit and some I really want to wear but I’m not sure what to do with them. I have been trying to get a bit more adventurous in my dressing, but rarely have time to try things on to make sure they work together. I also still want to wear some of my “too big” clothes, but want them to still be flattering to my smaller body.
I spent a few hours over my holiday vacation trying on various combinations of clothes that I wanted to wear. I was able to figure out what worked together, and then I hung the outfits up together in a special section of my closet, along with matching tights, belt, etc..
What a time saver!
Now I can just grab an outfit and throw it on in the morning without having to change a few more times. I have my “I feel skinny” clothes and my “I feel bloated” clothes that I choose based on where my body is at during the month.
