It is hard to believe we are almost at the end of July. This summer had quite a late start, and it seems to be slipping away as we speak. This was one of the few nice mornings in about a week or so. It was in the low 70’s and no humidity. I didn’t have to worry about my lens fogging up.
I remember the easy days of summer when I was a kid. Growing up on a farm, it was pretty lazy. We didn’t have a sitter after my sister turned around 12 (I was 10), so it was just us and our protector dog during the day. (Seriously, he wouldn’t let anyone get out of their cars if we were home alone…he was like a small 100 lb bear). We only got one channel on our old black and white TV, so it was watching soap operas, read or go outside. Unfortunately we didn’t get to the library all that often, or I would have done a lot more reading. As it was, we watched soap operas in the hot afternoons, usually after taking our horses out for a ride in the woods in the morning. I mostly just remember the laziness and idleness…after the chores were done, of course. I wish I could have that back…or the ability to be idle. I think I have forgotten how.
*sorry for the fuzziness…my lens was having focusing issues, apparently*
Shirt – Express
Skirt – Ann Taylor LOFT
Jewelry – Made by Me (took apart an old necklace my dad got for my mom)
Shoes – Miss Sixty (love the lug sole – makes them very solid to walk on despite the stilleto heel)
Hair Day #17 –
Took the front part of my hair and put in a ponytail on top. Split into two different sections, twisted it around and pinned in place.
