This was supposed to be an entry for the 52 week sewing challenge last week, but I ran out of steam and did not get the pictures uploaded. Oh well…add it to the many weeks I missed!
This top is made from a fabric pattern I drafted and then printed on Modern Jersey from Spoonflower. It has one of my designs as a part of the stripe. I printed this one with a horizontal stripe.
The pattern is my own and has a v-back to it.
The skort is another two fabric designs of my own:
I like to add pockets to the shorts underneath. I did two-toned for the shorts for fun.
I drafted the skort pattern, too. I wanted the fabric piece to be the front of the skort, but it needed to be a little shorter. I generally like my skorts to be shorter, but had to make it longer for the design to be on it. I printed them on Performance Pique. The single design is printed on a fat quarter.
So, hey…I sewed something that was NOT a strike-off! 🙂
That pocket under your skirt is GENIUS! And I love the back of your top!
Thanks! I have TWO pockets…one on either side! One for my cell phone and one for my keys. It works really well. 🙂
