Like I needed to buy more fabric amiright??

Side note: there is still fabric sitting on the floor in front of the closet.
I have been doing occasional fabric designs, and as I am no longer buying from custom fabric groups on Facebook, I have turned to buying my own fabrics. Here are some fabrics I have purchased with my designs on them that are still in my stash:

I recently purchased a sample of my fabrics, so I can sell them. Now this is the first time I have tried this “fill a yard” option with Spoonflower in order to get the designs printed and color checked:

It worked out pretty good. I can have up to 48 designs on it. It is $5 per test swatch, so $240 vs $16. Wish they would have started this much earlier on their website. This is the first time I have been happy with a print on cotton woven from them. It is their Petal base, and it printed very nice.
I also purchased 4 minky fabrics of my designs recently. The minky fabrics were destined to be blankets for baby gifts. This was a late night picture with a bit of a yellow glare to it. They are much prettier in person. đ

This black/orange minky I wanted for me. I was intending on buying a black minky to back it, but I couldn’t find one that was plush enough. I ended up buying a faux fur that is super plush and soft, and my black cats didn’t know what to make of it. đ I usually have the pattern side up, and they quite like how warm and fluffy it is, so I do tend to have kitties sitting on me when I lounge on the couch with it.

This was how much the cut was off. This was 50% off of $50/yard. I’m glad they usually cut a little extra at this fabric warehouse. For making blankets, I buy them with a 2 yard cut for use by adults.

Currently in my fabric stash is a whole lot of fabric that I don’t know when I will use it, or what to make with them. I buy and then figure out what to make later. This needs to change.
I have this stack of custom fabrics I purchased over a couple of years for at least $20/yard plus shipping. I have no idea what to make with them, and need to figure out if I can destash some of them. Either that or I need to use them up. Truly, I should sew them up for charity. I need to just get some easy dress patterns, cut them out and then sew as I have time. Some of the sport fabrics I can probably make up into headbands or possibly facemasks. That could be something that would be easy to sell at tournaments.

Now, I just need to make a plan for what to do with these fabrics that remain! I am starting on looking at my 2021 sewing intentions now that it is the end of January and I have gotten hardly anything done.
