Today I am posting at the tail end of the Refashion Month Series on House of Estrela.
This is a refashion of a dress of mine that I did at one point this winter. It was supposed to be for an upcycle contest, but I never got pictures taken of the girl wearing it.
It started out as this dress:
It’s a bit short for me. That was the only day I wore it and it was on Halloween. Plus it was just a bit wonky, as in poor quality construction. The fabric was okay, but not too much on grain. Time to make it into something for the girl!
Cute little shirt for her!
I kept the neckline and the bottom seams of the sleeves, and kept the chevron seaming of the original bodice. I was hoping to have more of a peplum bottom on this shirt, but I didn’t have enough fabric to make that work. Still, it worked out fairly well.
Here are a few other refashions I have done over the years:

That fabric looks amazing, and I love how cute she looks in her new peplum. You are great refashioning. Thanks for taking part of the series.
Thanks, Magda! I still have a whole basket full of clothes that the fabrics are just too nice to giveaway. I have more plans, of course! 🙂
Very cute as a peplum top! Other refashions are amazing too.
Thank you, Annie. 🙂
