It is starting to turn pretty chilly now, and we need to make sure to dress for those freezing temps. I also got a new office this week, so no longer in my cozy little cube. It is a bit colder in there, so I need to dress appropriately.
Monday, November 4:
- Dress – New make. This is the same pattern as the dresses from last week. The fabric is bamboo jersey with my own fabric custom print. Honestly, I think it looks a bit too much like pajamas on it’s own. It probably won’t get a lot of use by itself. I love the print, but the knit makes it a bit too casual.
- Long cardigan – purchased via Zulily a few years back. It is getting pilly, so I need to see if I can get a few more seasons out of it by using a tool I got for de-pilling sweaters.
- Boots – Franco Sarto via 6pm.com. I got these last week to go with the print above and a few other taupe items in my closet. They are a little bit stiff right now, so the leather needs to get beat up a bit more to be truly comfortable. It has a nice lower heel height, so easier to stand at my desk.
- Jewelry – necklace/Stella & Dot, earrings/Zulily
- Hair – Aftermath of the braids from the previous day. Did nothing but take them out of the braids and finger comb.
Tuesday, November 5:
- Top – I don’t think I had posted this one before. I made it last summer. It is a pretty thin knit, so I have to wear a cami underneath it. My own pattern draft.
- Skirt – 4 gore skirt I made a few years ago. My own pattern draft.
- Sweater – Zenana Outfitters via Zulily. They continually seem to offer these snap front sweaters, but they are by different companies. This one is a soft and comfy sweater. I also bought a navy and white striped one, which is not so nice and comfy.
- Boots – Oak Tree Farms via Zulily
- Jewelry – I made it a few years ago from jewelry findings and freshwater pearls.
- Hair – Just pulled back in a low ponytail and put a sparkly clip on it.
Wednesday, November 6:
- Top – This shirt I made last year at one point out of a knit lace and bamboo knit. It is a pretty top by itself or under sweaters.
- Sweater – Purchased
- Pants – New make in the last few months. I don’t think I have posted about it at all. This was ponte out of my office pants pattern. I made them a bit long, so even in heels the hem is dragging. Need to redo that part.
- Booties – Miz Mooz
- Jewelry – purchased recently
- Hair – blow dried and flat ironed. When I have my hair long I rarely blow dry it more than once a month. It has gotten it more now that it is shorter and easier to get it mostly dry in a shorter amount of time.
Thursday, November 7:
- Vest – New make that I posted about this week.
- Dress – Made it this fall and finally wore it with the matching vest.
- Leggings – grey fleece lined via Zulily. They sell a ton of those on there. I love them in the wintertime.
- Boots – Franco Sarto via 6pm.com
- Jewelry – Necklace: Stella & Dot (wear this a lot), Earrings: The Buckle, Bracelets – can’t remember!
- Hair – Just did the ponytail flip on it this day. I need to figure out more things to do with my hair. It is frustrating that it is so short and hard to do more than just basic stuff.
Friday, November 8:
Ah Friday…last day of the work week and I was sooooo tired! I changed so many times since I just couldn’t figure out what to wear. I need to go through my closet and put things together again, so I have some outfits ready to go on days where I have no energy.
- Cardigan: Made last year out of bamboo fleece
- Tunic top: Made last fall out of bamboo jersey
- Sheer top: purchased from Cabi
- Fleece leggings: purchased from Zulily
- Jewelry: purchased from Zulily
- Boots: Etienne Aigner
- Hair: barely had energy to flat iron my bangs and let the rest to air dry. So imaginative!
Saturday, November 9:
- It was a sweatpants kind of day, so no photo.
Sunday, November 10:
- Cardigan: The cardigan was the first draft of this design that I made. I have made several others including one I made this day that I will wear next week.
- Top: Made it this summer from my own fabric design.
- Olive fleece leggings: purchased from Zulily
- Boots: Matisse
- Jewelry: Silpada and Stella & Dot
- Hair: Still wet from the shower! I have a pretty deep cut on the thumb knuckle of the my left hand from some broken glass, so I’m not doing anymore than needed.
