Neon hues

I have heard tell that neon’s are back in vogue.  I remember the neon’s of my youth.  I grew up in the 80’s, and neons were all the rage.  I remember I made a blazer with a ton of neon colors when I was in 7th grade.  I wore it all the time and basically wore it out!

I am not willing to buy a lot of neon, but this chartreuse top was calling my name.  Incredibily bright with a textured fabric, it was on the 1/2 price rack at Loft.  I figured that if I didn’t wear it a lot, then it wouldn’t set me back too much.

When I took these pictures it was in the 40’s outside.  I was a bit chilled!  I usually try to take pictures in the morning when I am unwrinkled and my makeup is still fresh and my hair isn’t all messy.  Then, I feed the fish in the pond.

They were a bit neglected in the past few weeks.  I fed them, but the fountain wasn’t on due to leaves clogging it up.  Unfortunately, the lack of rain and lack of filtration made the water turn black.  We rescued four of them, but couldn’t find the other seven.  Like, there were no little bodies.  Wonder if something came along and grabbed them while they were gasping for air at the top??  We do have some hawks in the area.

The survivors are currently in my daughter’s room in her fish tank.  My son’s fish were among the missing.  I forsee a trip to the pet store this weekend so my son’s fish tank has some residents over the winter.

Hair – took out my braids from the day before and curled my fringe.  This is only about one hair washing into a fresh dye job, so still pretty red!
