This summer our friends adopted a little boy, and I was so happy to hear it. I took pictures of their blessing ceremony a few years ago, and I know they will make wonderful parents.
As usual, I’m nothing if not timely in making presents. This only took me a few months to get around to it. This brown reminds me of a mink coat. It will keep the little guy nice and warm this winter! Add in one of my books and this gift will get sent on it’s way this week.
I hope.
Getting to the post office also proves to be a challenge. 😉
Then Anya’s teacher asked me to make some curtains for a few windows in her room. An easy enough project, so I went there and measured the windows on Friday and had them done by Monday. It would have gone smoother if my machine didn’t hate the fabric so much. I’m not sure why it didn’t like the broadcloth, but it did.
The problem with making things for teachers is that they tell the other teachers. 😉
Kailan’s 1st grade teacher tackled me on the way into school this morning and cajoled me into making her some, too. *sigh* I said, “Yes”, of course. Honestly, if I didn’t like her I probably would have said no. My benevolence for doing things for other people, when I have a ton to do already, only goes so far.
By the way, the reason they need curtains is for the door and the window next to the door…in case the school goes into lockdown. They have to be able to close them, so people can’t see inside. I’ve got warm fuzzies. How about you?
I have a few other things that I have sewn up, but I need to get pictures. I was just happy that I got some things done this weekend. I haven’t been very productive in the crafting department lately. I have quite a few things that are cut out on my sewing table that I need to get working on, too.
I’m also going to try my hand at some refashioning projects out of clothes that were destined for the giveaway pile. I haven’t really done much of that, so it should be interesting.
Your blankets always looks so adorable and cuddly. Then add the alphabet book, what a perfect gift.
I’d love to see more of your Alphabet Book. Have you posted about it? And curtains for lock down? We have to get under the desks!
