Well, I think I am finally caught up at work, so now to try to stay on track and not lose focus. I know eventually I’m going to have a lot of down time before my job officially ends, so I need to make sure I focus on productive tasks instead of being on Facebook or Pinterest. Make my priorities and stick to them, as it were!
My accomplishments this week
Focus Photo –
It was all volleyball this weekend. The girls played really well, so it was fun to watch!
Sewing –
- The 52 week sewing challenge for the week was something for an animal, and I was really wanting to get a shirt done for at least one of the cats. That didn’t happen. This next week is something with a pocket. I might get it done. We’ll see.
- #makenine progress: Nothing this past week.
- Strike-off sewing: I got the top done and it turned out super fun. It was a conundrum of figuring out which solids paired best, since I was NOT going to go buy something. I think it turned out well. I’ll post more pictures next week when the round opens.
- Misc Sewing – I have a dress to alter for a friend’s daughter for prom. It is just taking the back invisible zipper in an inch and then taking about 4 inches off the 3 layers of skirt. Fun times. 😉
- Another strike came in the mail this week, so I need to get it made up, but I have a few weeks on it. I need to think on it a bit for what I want to make.
House cleaning –
We had some issues with the basement this week, so we are the opposite of clean. Just another week in paradise!
Time with family –
An entire weekend of volleyball meant that we spent plenty of time together. It was fun to watch the girls!
Health, exercising, making healthy meals –
- Exercised ONE time last week. Tiny baby steps going on over here. No weight gain at least, I guess.
- I mostly stuck to my meal plan, but most of the weekend was eating out. Not great. So this week’s plan:
- Monday – Mac and cheese (not even close to healthy)
- Tuesday – Grilled chicken breasts, kale salad and bread
- Wednesday – Chicken Adobo with wild rice and steamed broccoli
- Thursday – Leftovers
- Friday – Mushroom and Beef Stew
- Saturday – Up in the air due to sports schedules. May be eating out.
- Sunday – Baked ham and mashed potatoes (gotta get this done eventually!)

Reading –
Nothing here. I’m not getting very far with this, am I? I did do some writing, so at least it is something.
It is hard to believe it is almost May. How did that happen?? I may or may not do the Me Made May outfit posts. I do generally wear something each day that I have made, but now that I’m working from home, I don’t really get ready in the morning (no makeup, hair not fixed). Not sure I want those pictures out there! 😀
