This is a pretty simple outfit, but the main feature is the pockets on the pants. Pockets are always good.
I drafted it to put elastic in the top and then gather the bottom. I wanted it to lay flat, but work on a heavy knit. The bottoms here are french terry bamboo knit and the top is a bamboo lycra knit.
This has been washed and worn a few times before I took pictures of it. I wanted a comfy outfit that wasn’t ratty. You know…something that looks nice when you have psycho friends that just drop by (kidding…a little). 😉 I wanted to make some nicer looking items for wearing around the house. We tend to just throw on items that are comfy, but don’t necessarily look decent. We did that a lot during Covid when leaving the house was anathema.
I have plenty more fabric that would work well for these types of outfits. My shelves are still full.
The top has some rouching at the sides.
Top: Heathered bamboo spandex knit from Nature’s Fabrics with a t-shirt pattern and rouching at the sides. Self-drafted.
Bottoms: Yoga pants with side pockets in Heathered Navy bamboo french terry from Nature’s fabrics. Self-drafted.
I’m getting back into sewing, which is nice to get a few things made for myself. It’s also nice to feel productive, which I haven’t felt much lately for my creative work.
Some other creative stuff – a pattern I made recently in different colorways:
I was inspired by watching Bridgerton with all those pastels.
Side note: I did have a hack and a post went out that was not me. Hopefully changing my password helped and it won’t happen again. We’ll see…
