Catching up on some posts that I should have made!
I did share this on Instagram when I made it…well, after I gifted it.
I drew my sister-in-law’s name for Christmas this year, and I had noticed that her purse handle was hanging on by a pin. I asked her if she would like me to make her a new purse, and she said “Yes!”. I asked her what color leather and she chose brown leather.
I tried to keep it the same size, but it might be a little under the size she had.

I put 2 external pockets…one pops out of the front more than the other.

I lined it in my Celtic phoenix fabric I designed. I used it for the purse I made last year, so this was leftovers of the fabric.

The handles were inspired from a picture I found on Pinterest. I look on Pinterest often and just save interesting ways of adding on hardware.

I have also seen the zippers outlined with a contrasting color, so I gave that a go this time, too.

I added some of that leather to the handles and the zipper pull. It’s all about the little details!

She was pretty happy with it!
She was way more than ‘happy’ with it–she LOVES it!!!! 🙂
And I am so glad you love it!
