I love cross front tops. They tend to be slimming and figure flattering. They make the girls look pretty good, which at my advanced age of “40”…’tis a good thing.
I got a piece of lycra-polyester blend fabric that had a handkerchief print on it. I wasn’t sure quite what I wanted to do with it at first. I finally decided to do a cross front top with it, and I totally love how it turned out.
Just ignore the fact that the print is cut upside down. Details…
Paired with a poofy skirt, and I just love this outfit.
Oh, and these boots. They are one of my favorite pairs of black boots, and I have had them for a few years. The heel was wood wrapped and totally came undone. I had to take them to a cobbler to get them to not look like total crap as the off white plastic heel underneath was showing through. He ended up taking off the wrapping and just painting the heel black. That is working alright, but already some places it is wearing through again. I must be hard on my shoes!
Shirt – ~Made by Me~
Skirt – LOFT
Red Tights – no idea
Jewelry – JC Penny
Boots – Sketchers
Hair – Crown braids. This is my “go to” hairstyle when I get out of the shower in the morning with a wet head. I just braid each side, taking only from the bottom to add to the braid. Then, I wrap the braids around, tuck the ends under and pin in place. The next day they are dry, so I have an awesome wavy head of hair.
