I am all for figure concealing clothing right now. Never did get that summer bod, so we are looping right back in winter bod. 😉

I am loving layers right now. I look on Pinterest at all those outfits with 5,000 layers and think of all the things I could sew to make it happen. This came about from wanting a cream colored layer piece that would utilize the faux leather to match some new Oak Tree Farm leather boots I purchased from Zulily.

I had a bit of linen knit leftover from a top I made a few years back, so I thought that would be the perfect layering fabric. I can use it for the spring and the fall. I cut the pieces basically to suit what I had leftover and made that work. Along the edges I put a folded over band of a non-stretch suede-type faux leather.

I found this pin on Pinterest, whose source is a shop on etsy for how to use this poncho. I hadn’t really thought of all of these different ways.

It is pretty versatile and a nice light layer for fall!
