I love this skirt, but it is hard to pair it up for work outfits. I decided to just cover a bit of it with my knit vest. I added a little more edge with my eye makeup, though.
A little edge is A-Okay.
Working in an office that gives me a bit of leeway in how I dress is very nice. I used to work in one of the big public accounting firms and it was suits for most of my career there. Suits don’t have a lot of satorical wiggle room. It was only the last year of working there that they moved to business casual. Then I let my hair down a bit. Literally and figuratively. I wore my hair in a french twist for the majority of my working career there, too. My hair was about to the point I could sit on it, and they didn’t really know that until the few days that I wore it down. It’s funny to see people’s expressions when you go from showing them a severe hairstyle to looking like Lady Godiva (only with the clothes on, thankyouverymuch!).
